Server Rules

Know Before You Play.

Revelation DayZ is a PVE server with designated PVP zones. These rules exist to protect everyone's experience. Violations are handled by staff and may result in warnings, kicks, or permanent bans.

General Rules

These rules apply to all players at all times — on the server, in Discord, and in any official Revelation DayZ space. They are non-negotiable.

  • 1.1
Treat all players with basic respect regardless of play style, experience level, nationality, or language.
  • 1.2
Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, slurs, or targeted toxicity toward any player is a bannable offense.
  • 1.3
English is required in global voice and text chat. Private party or direct communication may be in any language.
  • 1.4
Impersonating staff members, other players, or falsely claiming administrative authority results in an immediate ban.
  • 1.5
Claiming ignorance of the rules is not a valid defense. All players are responsible for reading and understanding these rules before playing.
  • 1.6
These rules apply everywhere — not just inside PVP or safe zones. All areas fall under the same code of conduct.
  • 1.7
Staff decisions are final. Arguing publicly after a decision may result in escalated punishment. Appeals go through Discord only.
02

PVP Zones

Player-versus-player combat is only permitted inside clearly marked PVP zones. These areas are high-risk, high-reward. Enter knowing what you're walking into.

  • 2.1
PVP is only permitted inside designated PVP zones. Zones are marked on the server map and indicated in-game. Killing players outside these areas is griefing.
  • 2.2
Combat logging — disconnecting to avoid an active fight — is prohibited. You must remain in-game for at least [X minutes] after combat ends.
  • 2.3
Killing freshspawns with no gear is not permitted even inside PVP zones. Give new players a fighting chance.
  • 2.4
Spawn camping — repeatedly killing the same player immediately after they respawn — is prohibited and treated as harassment.
  • 2.5
Stream sniping — using another player's livestream to locate and target them — is a permanent ban. No exceptions.
  • 2.6
PVP zone boundaries are enforced by honor. Dragging combat outside the zone border — by looting, chasing, or shooting — is not permitted.
Note
PVP zone locations may change each wipe. Check the Mods page or #announcements on Discord for the current zone map.
03

Safe Zones & PVE Areas

Safe zones and trader areas exist so players can trade, regroup, and breathe. Any aggression in these areas is zero tolerance.

  • 3.1
All combat is forbidden in safe zones. This includes shooting, vehicle ramming, punching, and intentional tool damage to players or their belongings.
  • 3.2
Do not block trader NPCs, vendor spawn points, or zone entrances with vehicles or building components. Obstructions will be removed without notice.
  • 3.3
Stealing from another player's hands, bags, or inventory while inside a safe zone is prohibited, even if the game mechanics allow it.
  • 3.4
Vehicles left idle in a safe zone for more than [X hours] without logging in may be relocated or deleted by staff.
  • 3.5
Intentionally spoiling events, stealing from active event containers, or interfering with other players' PVE objectives is prohibited.
Warning
First offense in a safe zone is a 24-hour ban. Repeat offenses move to 7 days and then permanent. Staff do not negotiate on this.
04

Base Building

Base building is one of the most rewarding parts of DayZ. These rules make sure no single group suffocates the map for everyone else.

  • 4.1
Each group or player is permitted a maximum of [X] base claims per wipe. Claims are tracked by staff and verified on request.
  • 4.2
Do not build within [X meters] of any trader zone, safe zone boundary, spawn point, or military loot area.
  • 4.3
Builds that fully block roads, bridges, military compounds, or any map-critical structures will be removed by staff without warning.
  • 4.4
Bases with no player activity for more than [X days] are considered abandoned. Staff may issue a 48-hour warning before removal — no guarantee given.
  • 4.5
Builds that cause measurable server performance issues (excessive object counts, overlapping structures) will be flagged by staff before any ban is issued.
  • 4.6
Seal your base properly. Bases entered through construction gaps or unsealed walls are your design problem, not a bug report.
05

Raiding

Raiding is allowed — but only in the right areas and with restraint. This is a PVE-first server. Raiding adds tension, not a reason to destroy someone's will to play.

  • 5.1
Raiding is only permitted against bases inside or directly adjacent to a PVP zone. Bases fully in PVE territory may not be raided.
  • 5.2
Destroy only what is necessary to gain entry. Demolishing an entire base for sport — especially against an offline player — is griefing and is bannable.
  • 5.3
The same base may not be raided more than [X times] per wipe. Once raided to the limit, leave it alone regardless of what remains inside.
  • 5.4
Recording your raid entry route is strongly recommended. If a dispute is filed and you cannot prove legitimate entry, staff may rule in the defender's favor.
  • 5.5
Destroying locked containers, safes, or vehicles you cannot open — just to grief — is not raiding. It will be treated accordingly.
Reminder
When in doubt, raid less than you could. We want players to rebuild and return. Scorched-earth raiding is the fastest way to kill a server.
06

Community & Chat

How you carry yourself in chat and on Discord is part of the experience. Keep it clean.

  • 6.1
No advertising other servers, communities, YouTube/Twitch channels, or Discord servers without explicit staff approval.
  • 6.2
Slurs, threats, sexual content, extremist material, and targeted personal attacks result in a permanent ban with no appeal.
  • 6.3
Spam in voice or text — excessive radio use, soundboarding, mic spam, or message flooding — results in a mute or kick.
  • 6.4
Doxxing — sharing or threatening to share another player's personal information — results in a permanent ban and may be reported to authorities.
  • 6.5
Keep personal conflicts out of public channels. If you have a dispute, open a ticket. Public arguments will be shut down.
07

Exploits & Cheats

Cheating undermines everything. We have active monitoring, player reports, and log review. If you cheat here, you will be caught.

  • 7.1
Hacks, aimbots, ESP/wallhacks, speed modifications, or any third-party software providing an in-game advantage result in a permanent ban on first offense.
  • 7.2
If you discover a bug or exploit that provides an advantage — report it immediately. Continued use after discovery is bannable.
  • 7.3
Duplication exploits result in immediate item wipe, a mandatory ban, and possible full stash wipe at staff discretion.
  • 7.4
Mesh walking, out-of-bounds access, physics exploits, or entering areas not intended by the game or mods is prohibited.
  • 7.5
Sharing, selling, or distributing cheat software in any Revelation DayZ channel results in a permanent ban across all platforms.
Permanent
Cheat bans are permanent and non-negotiable. We do not lift them regardless of the appeal. Don't waste your time.
08

Reports & Appeals

We take all reports seriously. Use the right channel — reports submitted outside of these will be delayed or ignored.

  • 8.1
All reports must be submitted through #open-ticket in Discord. In-game complaints, DMs to mods, or public posts are not formal reports.
  • 8.2
Include all relevant evidence: video clips, screenshots, player name or Steam ID, time of incident. Reports without evidence are hard to act on.
  • 8.3
False reports — submitted intentionally to get another player banned — result in punishment for the person who filed them.
  • 8.4
Ban appeals go to the Server Owner via Discord DM. Include your player name, ban date, and your case. Missing info = no review.
  • 8.5
Permanent bans are rarely reversed. Successful appeals require clear evidence of a staff error — not just a defense of your actions.
  • 8.6
Appeals for cheating, doxxing, hate speech, or harassment bans will not be accepted. These are final.
Response Time
All tickets are responded to within 24 hours. For urgent in-game situations, check if staff are online in Discord and ping them directly.

Questions? Ask Staff.

If something isn't covered here, use common sense. If you're genuinely unsure, open a ticket before you act — not after.
